I am over the age of 18 but under 21. Why can’t I volunteer?

As a free clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality healthcare to underserved members of our community, we rely on volunteers to serve in roles that require professionalism, sound judgment, and a strong commitment to patient care. Volunteers may interact with vulnerable populations, observe or assist with sensitive medical situations, and have access to confidential patient information protected by privacy laws. Because our clinic operates primarily through volunteers and has limited resources for intensive supervision and training, we require volunteers to be at least 21 years of age. This minimum age helps ensure that volunteers possess the maturity, reliability, and life experience necessary to carry out their responsibilities appropriately while maintaining a safe, respectful, and confidential environment for our patients, staff, and fellow volunteers.

Non-Medical and Administrative Volunteer Orientations are held on the FIRST THURSDAY of each month at the Clinic.
Medical Volunteer Orientations (RN/MA) are held on the THIRD THURSDAY of each month at 6:00 PM at the Clinic.

We are unable to accommodate anyone under the age of 21.
